We are a school based in two sites- Here's what you need to know

Penbridge School is the combination of two schools: Newbridge Junior and Penhale Infant.

We firmly believe in the partnership in different levels of education to ensure a seamless transition for pupils as the progress. As such, Newbridge and Penhale have always worked closely, planning curriculum together, holding join-events, our communications are often released in tandem, and now we are even closer! 

For parents who have children already attending our schools, it'll be be business as usual, however if your child is starting their first day with our school, this page has some information which may help!

Junior School (Years 3 - 6)

If your child is joining us in KS2, they will be attending school from our Junior site, at the following address:

We offer a Breakfast club for £2 a session from 8:00am. Children are provided with fresh fruit and other breakfast snacks. 

School opens from 8:40am to pupils, morning registration begins at 8:55am. Finally, the school day ends at 3:00pm, you can pick your child up form the main gate.

Infant School (EYFS - Year 2)

If you child is in KS1 then they will be learning from our Infant site:

We run a breakfast club here with too drop off times - 8:00am or 8:15am, until 8:55am which is when morning registration begins. Session costs £2 per session. 

We also offer an after school club, Little Learners, open from 3:15pm - 6:00pm for £10 a session (light snack included). 

Finally, for parents that have child attending our Junior site, our GAP club is a free club that provides care after school until 3:40pm.

Uniform

We are very proud of our uniform which greatly enhances the standards of our school. School uniform fosters a sense of community and pride and it is expected all children arrive in school dressed appropriately and in the correct uniform.

  • Trousers – plain and dark no jeans or tracksuits please
  • Skirts – plain and dark
  • Shirts and blouses – plain white or yellow
  • Polo Shirts – yellow
  • Jumpers, cardigans and sweatshirts – plain purple
  • Shorts (in summer) – plain colours
  • T Shirts (in summer) – school colours
  • Shoes – sensible, low heeled, all black shoes.
  • No open-toed or backless sandals please.

For PE and Games:

It is important to bring a change of clothes for PE and Games, consisting of a plain T-Shirt, shorts and plimsolls or training shoes.

Hairstyles, Jewellery and Makeup:

Hairstyles should be smart, plain and simple. Un-natural hair colour dyes and highlights, shaved patterns, extreme cuts, are not acceptable. The only jewellery allowed in school is a watch and a small pair of studs or sleepers. Also, nail varnish is not to be worn.

PLEASE MARK ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING (INCLUDING COATS) WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME as this will help us greatly when dealing with lost property found in the school.
