Year 5 celebrate Black History Month

In Year 5, children have researched inspiration black women from our past as well as current inspirational black women who they think will be remembered in the history books for years to come. They have learnt about what they have contributed to our society and talked about why we will continue to celebrate their work in the future. After completing this research, they used the skills they have learnt in art to draw and blend their image using oil pastels before creating a catchy title to summarise why they will be remembered
